Calling all butterfly lovers! One of my favorite pieces in our current inventory and possibly of all time! “En Tremblant” is a french word meaning to tremble, first used in the 18th and 19th century to describe jewelry that was attached to a type of spring mechanism or wire that allowed the item move. This fantastic opal butterfly brooch is exceptionally well created and all 4 wings move! The wings are symmetrical in pattern but unique in the opals that are used, which adds to the allure of the piece. Each upper wing has 16 various shapes and colors of opals set in it. The lower wings each have 7 unique opals set in them. There are also 2 larger opals that make up the body of the butterfly. PLEASE NOTE: THE OPALS ARE MUCH MORE COLORFUL THAN THE PICTURE, OPALS ARE DIFFICULT TO PHOTOGRAPH AND CAPTURE THEIR TRUE COLORS
